Jamie Mendola is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Pacific Grove Capital. Jamie was previously a Partner at Scout Capital, where he worked from 2009-2014, when the fund closed and returned capital to its investors after 15 years. He had primary responsibility for Scout’s equity investments in consumer, retail and financial services. He was also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Risk Committee and led Scout’s opportunistic credit efforts. Jamie helped to open Scout’s Palo Alto office with co-founder, Adam Weiss, and grew the office from 4 to 14 employees. Prior to Scout, Jamie was a Principal at Watershed Asset Management from 2005-2009, where he invested in special situation and event-driven ideas across the capital structure.
