Dan is the founder and managing member of Hennessy Capital LLC and the Chairman and CEO of Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp. II, a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (or “SPAC”) he formed which went public on NASDAQ in July of 2015. Dan was also the Chairman and CEO of Hennessy Capital’s first SPAC, which merged with School Bus Holdings Inc. in February 2015 and is now known as Blue Bird Corporation (NASDAQ: BLBD). Dan now serves as Blue Bird’s Vice Chairman. Dan is also a Partner at CHS Capital LLC (f/k/a Code Hennessy & Simons LLC) a middle market private equity investment firm he co-founded in 1988 and led its investments in industrial, infrastructure and energy businesses. Over a 25 year period, CHS invested $2.8 billion in 395 operating companies with aggregate revenues of approximately $15 billion.
